Abigail Girard

Abi is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who earned a Master of Social Work from Salem State University. She works with clients across the lifespan, from young children to older adults, and brings experience from community-based and in-home services, inpatient psychiatric care, and outpatient therapy.

Abi takes an eclectic, strengths-based approach, tailoring therapy to each client’s individual needs, experiences, and goals. Her work incorporates evidence-informed approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Narrative Therapy, and the Attachment, Regulation, and Competency (ARC) Framework. Through these approaches, she helps clients recognize their strengths, develop effective coping strategies, and work toward meaningful personal growth.

Committed to creating a welcoming and inclusive therapeutic environment, Abi has experience supporting LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergent clients. She values collaboration, respect, and authentic connection, helping each person feel heard and understood throughout the therapeutic process.

Outside of her professional work, Abi enjoys reading, creating art, weightlifting, and spending time with friends and family.
