About Wendy L Shoaf
Wendy is a licensed mental health professional and Certified Eating Disorder Specialist with extensive experience supporting individuals with eating disorders, anxiety, depression, and related mental health concerns. She holds a master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Miami and is licensed to practice in Florida, New York, and New Jersey.
Wendy began her clinical journey at a respected eating disorder treatment center, first providing direct care and later working as a therapist in residential and intensive outpatient programs. Her continued outpatient work has strengthened her expertise in helping clients develop healthier relationships with food, their bodies, and themselves.
Her therapeutic approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Interpersonal Therapy, with treatment tailored to each client’s individual needs and goals. Wendy also aligns her work with Health at Every Size® principles and incorporates mindful and intuitive eating practices.
