Dr. Matthew Rochefort

Dr. Matthew Rochefort is a clinical psychologist and owner of Deeper Roots Psychological Services, LLC. He earned his Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from Divine Mercy University in 2020 and has experience across private practice, community mental health, university counseling, and residential and outpatient substance use treatment settings.

Dr. Rochefort specializes in depression, anxiety, mood disorders, trauma and PTSD, relationship concerns, self-esteem, identity exploration, and men’s issues. His therapeutic approach is grounded in psychodynamic and attachment-oriented perspectives, with additional training in interpersonal process, emotion-focused, trauma-informed, and mindfulness-based therapies. Treatment is thoughtfully tailored to each client’s individual needs, experiences, and goals.

Committed to creating a safe, open, and emotionally engaged therapeutic relationship, Dr. Rochefort helps clients explore underlying emotional and relational patterns, develop greater self-understanding, and work toward meaningful, lasting change. He welcomes clients from diverse cultural backgrounds and identities and has specialized training in supporting Catholic-Christian clients who wish to incorporate their faith into therapy.

Dr. Rochefort also brings experience in teaching, community education, and university-level instruction.
