About Glynis Lonnemann
Glynis (she/her) is a licensed social worker who provides compassionate, affirming therapy for LGBTQ+ individuals, women, and pregnant clients. She supports people navigating trauma, depression, anxiety, difficult life transitions, and other emotional challenges.
As a Brainspotting practitioner, Glynis incorporates a brain-body approach that can offer another avenue for clients who have found traditional talk therapy challenging or less effective. Her integrative therapeutic style also draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and traditional talk therapy, allowing sessions to be tailored to each client’s needs and preferences.
Glynis believes clients are the experts on their own lives and approaches therapy as a collaborative process. She focuses on helping individuals better understand their experiences, recognize their strengths, develop effective coping strategies, and feel more empowered in making meaningful changes.
Her therapeutic environment is welcoming, nonjudgmental, and inclusive, with room for authenticity and appropriate humor. Glynis understands that beginning therapy can sometimes feel uncomfortable or unfamiliar and works to create a space where clients can gradually let their guard down, feel genuinely supported, and explore their experiences at a comfortable pace.
