About Gaia Zanna
Gaia Zanna is an international, bilingual Licensed Mental Health Psychotherapist and Certified Clinical Supervisor (MCCS) based in downtown Boston. Originally from Bologna, Italy, she brings a strong multicultural perspective to therapy and understands the emotional complexities of adapting to a new country and culture. She provides therapy in both English and Italian.
Gaia specializes in anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship and family concerns, cultural adjustment, and women’s issues, including fertility, divorce, identity, self-esteem, and workplace challenges. Her integrative approach draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, Narrative Therapy, and supportive therapy. She is also certified in the Comprehensive Resource Model (CRM), which may be incorporated into trauma-focused treatment.
Gaia earned her master’s degree from the Boston Graduate School of Psychoanalysis and completed fellowship training in child and family therapy at the Boston Institute of Psychotherapy. She is currently completing her doctoral dissertation in Cultural Psychoanalysis.
Her approach is warm, empathetic, inclusive, and nonjudgmental, creating a respectful space where clients can feel understood and supported.
